Removal Procedure

  1. Place a drain pan under the vehicle in order to catch any power steering fluid.
  2. Fig 1: Power Steering Reservoir, Hose And Clamps (AWD)

  3. Remove the bolt (2) from the power steering gear outlet hose (3).
  4. Loosen the clamp that retains the power steering cooling pipe to the gear outlet hose.
  5. NOTE: Refer to Power Steering Hose Disconnected Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Remove the gear outlet hose from the cooling pipe.
  7. Remove the pipe fitting (4) and the gear outlet hose from the steering gear (5).
