Removal Procedure

- Place a drain pan under the vehicle in order to catch any power steering fluid.
- Remove the bolt (4) from the power steering gear inlet hose (5).
- Loosen the clamp that retains the power steering cooling pipe to the end of the power steering gear outlet hose (9).
- Remove the gear outlet hose from the cooling pipe.
- Remove the pipe fitting (7) and the gear outlet hose from the steering gear (8).
- Remove the pipe fitting (6) and the gear inlet hose from the steering gear.
- Remove the bolt (3).
- Remove the pipe fitting (2) and the gear inlet hose from the pump.
IMPORTANT:
A bracket retains the power steering gear inlet hose to the power steering outlet hose.
