Installation Procedure

  1. Install the backing plate (5) with the rear wheel bearing and hub assembly. Refer to Wheel Bearing/Hub Replacement - Rear (FWD) or Wheel Bearing/Hub Replacement - Rear (AWD) in Rear Suspension.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the park brake cable and the bolt to the backing plate.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 7.8 N.m (69.04 lb in).

  4. Install the wheel cylinder. Refer to Wheel Cylinder Replacement .
