Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the park brake shoes and the hardware. Refer to Park Brake Shoe Replacement in Park Brake.

  3. Remove the bolt and the park brake cable (1) from the backing plate.
  4. Remove the rear wheel bearing and hub assembly. Refer to Wheel Bearing/Hub Replacement - Rear (FWD) or Wheel Bearing/Hub Replacement - Rear (AWD) in Rear Suspension.
  5. Remove the backing plate.
