Installation Procedure

  1. Remove the caps or plugs from the brake pipes (2,7).
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the brake hose (1) and the 2 retainers (4,5) to the brake pipes (2,7).

    Tighten:  Tighten the fittings to 15.2 N.m (11.21 lb ft).

  4. CAUTION: Refer to Brake Fluid Caution in Cautions and Notices.
    NOTE: Refer to Filling the Master Cylinder Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding .
  6. Install the rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
