Installation Procedure

Remove the cap or the plug from the caliper.

Install the following components to the caliper:
- A NEW brake hose gasket
- The fitting (2)
- The brake hose (1)

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Tighten the fitting.
Tighten: Tighten the fitting to 29 N.m (21.4 lb ft).

Install the brake hose (4) to the bracket.
Install the bolt (1).
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 29 N.m (21.4 lb ft).
Remove the cap or the plug from the brake pipe.

Install the brake hose and the retainer to the brake pipe.
Tighten: Tighten the fitting to 15.2 N.m (11.21 lb ft).

CAUTION: Refer to Brake Fluid Caution in Cautions and Notices.

NOTE: Refer to Filling the Master Cylinder Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding .
Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
Lower the vehicle.
