Installation Procedure

  1. Install the park brake switch (5) to the park brake lever.
  2. Install the screw (12) to the park brake switch.
  3. Install the park brake front cable (9) to the lever.
  4. Fasten the tab.
  5. Install the lower nut (3).
  6. Install the upper nut (2).
  7. Install the park brake lever to the floor of the vehicle.
  8. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  9. Install the 2 bolts (4,11).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 12.5 N.m (110.6 lb in).

  10. Connect the park brake switch electrical connector (10).
  11. Adjust the park brake lever. Refer to Park Brake Adjustment (Drum Brakes)  or Park Brake Adjustment (Disc Brakes) .
  12. Install the rear floor console. Refer to Console Replacement - Rear Floor in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
