Installation Procedure

  1. Apply Lubriplate® Lubricant, GM P/N 1050109 (Canadian P/N 5264008), or the equivalent, to the metal contact points on the backing plate (1) and the adjuster strut (3).
  2. Assemble the adjuster strut (2,3,4).

  4. Install the park brake hardware (7,8,9,10,11,12,13,23,24) with the shoes. Refer to Brake Shoe Replacement (FWD) or Brake Shoe Replacement (AWD) .
  5. Install the drum (17). Refer to Brake Drum Replacement .
