Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear floor console. Refer to Console Replacement - Rear Floor in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.

  3. Remove the park brake lever (1). Refer to Park Brake Lever Assembly Replacement .
  4. If the vehicle has front-wheel drive, complete the following steps:
    1. Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement (LV6 Engine) or Catalytic Converter Replacement (LNK Engine) in Engine Exhaust.
    2. Remove the 3 nuts and the front floor forward heat shield.
    3. Remove the 2 nuts and the front floor center heat shield.
  5. Remove the front park brake cable (9) from the equalizer (8).
