When ignition is turned on, Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) performs tests to diagnose critical internal malfunctions. SDM monitors voltage levels at passenger-side air bag module disable switch signal and passenger-side air bag module suppression indicator control circuits to determine position of air bag disable switch. If malfunction is detected, DTC will set.
