Installation Procedure

    IMPORTANT: Engage the ridges of the oil pump drive rotor with the flat sections of the crankshaft.
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Install the oil pump. Use a new oil pump gasket.
  2. Use the five oil pump bolts in order to secure the oil pump.

    Tighten:  Tighten the oil pump bolts to 11 N.m (97 lb in).

  3. Install the timing chain. Refer to Timing Chain and Sprockets Replacement .
