Exhaust Manifold Installation

  1. Install the exhaust manifold and new gasket.
  2. Fig 1: Upper Heat Insulator Bolts

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the 3 exhaust manifold bolts (1-3) and 2 exhaust manifold nuts (4-5).

    Tighten:  Tighten the exhaust manifold nuts and bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  4. Install the lower heat insulator.

    Tighten:  Tighten the lower heat insulator bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  5. Install the 5 upper heat insulator bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the upper heat insulator bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  7. Install the exhaust manifold bracket to the manifold bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the exhaust manifold bracket bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
