Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel tank filler pipe protector bolts (2) and remove the fuel tank filler pipe protector (1).
  2. Remove the rear seat bottom and seat back. Refer to Seat Back Replacement - Rear Split Folding in Seats.

    IMPORTANT: The wheel speed sensor is serviceable only as an assembly. Do NOT attempt to service the sensor harness pigtail.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the wheel speed sensor.
  5. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  6. Pull the sensor harness and grommet out through the body.

  8. Remove the bolt (2) which retains the wheel speed sensor harness (1) to the vehicle.

  10. Remove the bolt (1) and nut (2) which retains the wheel speed sensor harness to the upper arm and suspension member.

  12. Remove the wheel speed sensor retaining bolt (1) and remove the wheel speed sensor (2) from suspension knuckle.
