Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Vibe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
IMPORTANT: The HO2S 2 comes with an anti-seize coating on the new sensor. Take precautions in order to prevent removal of any of this coating prior to installation.

  1. Install the HO2S 2 (2) into the exhaust pipe.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Tighten the HO2S 2.

    Tighten:  Tighten the HO2S 2 to 44 N.m (32 lb ft).

  4. Install the HO2S 2 wiring pigtail and body plug (1) into the floor pan.
  5. Lower the vehicle.

  7. Connect the HO2S 2 electrical connector (1).
  8. Install the rear floor console. Refer to Console Replacement - Rear Floor in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
