Installation Procedure

  1. Inspect the EVAP pressure switching solenoid and the EVAP control system for carbon particle contamination before replacing the EVAP pressure switching solenoid.

  3. Install the EVAP pressure switching solenoid (1) to the EVAP canister.
  4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Secure the solenoid with the fastener (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the fastener to 8.8 N.m (77 lb in).

  6. Connect the 2 vapor hoses.
  7. Connect the electrical connector.
  8. Install the EVAP canister (3). Refer to Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Replacement .
