Removal Procedure

Fig 1: Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve And Electrical Connector (AWD)

Disconnect the electrical connector (2) to the idle air control (IAC) valve (1).
Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Engine Cooling.

Disconnect the two coolant hoses (2) to the IAC valve.
Remove the fasteners retaining the IAC valve (3).
Remove the IAC valve (4) from the throttle body (1).
Remove any remaining IAC valve gasket (4).
