Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
    2. Fig 1: Disconnect/Connecting ORVR Vent Line Of Hose Connector (FWD)

  2. Disconnect the ORVR vent line (1) from the EVAP canister port by pinching both sides of the hose connector (1).

  3. Disconnect the EVAP vapor line (1) from the EVAP canister port by pinching both sides of the hose connector (1).

  4. Disconnect the 3 EVAP hoses (3) from the EVAP canister (1).
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector (4) from the EVAP pressure switching solenoid.
  6. Remove the 3 bolts (2) and the EVAP canister (1) from the vehicle.
  7. Inspect the EVAP purge system for carbon particle contamination before replacing the EVAP canister.
