Installation Procedure

  1. Install the U-clips to the left and right sides of the rear fascia, if removed.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the brackets (4), bolts (5), washers (3) and nuts (2) to the rear fascia (1), if removed.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

  5. Install the U-clips (2) to the rear fascia (1), if removed.
  6. Install the rear bumper fascia extension brackets (3) to the rear fascia (1), if removed.
  7. Install the screws (5) and washers (4) to the brackets (3), if removed.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

  8. Install two way tape to the rear fascia extension. Refer to Molding/Nameplate Replacement - Exterior Trim in Exterior Trim.
  9. Peel back 25.0 mm of the two way tape liner from each end.
  10. Position the rear fascia extension to the rear fascia and align to mounting holes.

  12. Install the lower screws and washers to the rear bumper fascia extension.

    Tighten:  Tighten the lower screws to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

  14. Install the spacers (1) and screws (3) to the left and right sides of the rear bumper fascia extension (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

  15. Remove the two way tape liner from the rear bumper fascia extension, while pressing down for good adhesion.
