Removal Procedure

  1. Apply protective tape (2) around the molding (3).
  2. Heat the molding using the J 25070  . See Special Tools and Equipment  . Apply heat using a circular motion for about 30 seconds.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Exterior Trim Emblem Removal Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Remove the molding (3) from the door using a plastic flat-bladed tool.
  5. Wash the area with soapy water and wipe dry.
  6. Remove all traces of adhesive from the door using a oil-free naptha or alcohol.
