Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
    IMPORTANT: When replacing the hood hinge, apply anti-corrosion treatment to the hinge and the body mating surface, and to the hinge and the hood mating surface. Refer to Anti-Corrosion Treatment and Repair in Paint/Coatings.
  1. Install the hood hinge (1) to the vehicle, aligning the mating marks. Secure the hinge with the 2 mounting bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the hinge bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  2. Install the left front fender, if removed. Refer to Fender Replacement - Front - Left  .
  3. Install the right front fender, if removed. Refer to Fender Replacement - Front - Right  .
  4. Install the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement  .
  5. Install the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement  .
