Intrusion Sensor Inoperative

Glass Breakage Sensor Inoperative

Step Action Yes No
1 Did you review the Theft Deterrent System Description and Operation and perform the necessary inspections? Go to Step 2  Go to Symptoms - Theft Deterrent

  1. Turn the ignition OFF.
  2. Disconnect the glass breakage sensor harness connector.
  3. Test cavity 8 of the glass breakage sensor for battery positive voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
Is battery voltage present?
Go to Step 3  Go to Step 6 
3 Test cavity 1 of the glass breakage sensor for battery positive voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
Is battery voltage present?
Go to Step 4  Go to Step 7 
4 Test cavity 6 for continuity to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
Is continuity to ground present?
Go to Step 5  Go to Step 8 
5 Test cavity 5 for continuity to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
Is continuity to ground present?
Go to Step 10  Go to Step 9 
6 Repair open or high resistance in the glass breakage sensor supply voltage circuit between cavity 8 of the glass breakage sensor and C6 cavity 9 of the instrument panel fuse block. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you complete the repair?
Go to Step 10  -
7 Repair open or high resistance in the glass breakage sensor supply voltage circuit between cavity 1 of the glass breakage sensor and C8 cavity 1 of the Instrument panel fuse block. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you complete the repair?
Go to Step 10  -
8 Repair open in the glass breakage sensor ground circuit between cavity 6 of the glass breakage sensor and G201. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you complete the repair?
Go to Step 10  -
9 Replace the glass breakage sensor.
Did you complete the repair?
Go to Step 10  -
10 Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
Did you correct the condition?
System OK Go to Step 3
