Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the left front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket in Seats.
  2. Remove the left body hinge pillar trim panel. Refer to Trim Replacement - Hinge Pillar in Interior Trim.
  3. Remove the foot rest. Refer to Foot Rest Replacement in Interior Trim.
  4. Remove the left front and rear side door sill trim plates. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement in Interior Trim.
  5. Remove the left center pillar lower trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Lower Center Pillar in Interior Trim.
  6. Remove the floor carpet retainers (1) from the left front and rear door sill flange.
  7. Position the floor panel carpet (3) aside to access the fuel tank filler door latch release cable.
  8. Remove the fuel/rear compartment release handle housing (2) bolt from the floor panel.
  9. Remove the fuel tank filler door latch release cable from the fuel/rear compartment release handle housing (2).
  10. Remove the left lower quarter trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Lower in Interior Trim.

  12. Remove the fuel tank filler door latch release cable (1) from the fuel filler door retainer (2) by turning counter clock wise.
  13. Unclip the release cable (1) from the retaining clips and remove the cable from the vehicle.
