Removal Procedure

- Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zones in SIR.
- Remove the body hinge pillar trim panels. Refer to Trim Replacement - Hinge Pillar .
- Remove all 4 side door sill trim plates. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement .
- Remove the center pillar lower trim panels. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Lower Center Pillar .
- Remove the front floor console. Refer to Console Replacement - Front Floor in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
- Remove the rear floor console. Refer to Console Replacement - Rear Floor in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
- Remove the front seats. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket in Seats.
- Remove the accessory AC/DC power control module. Refer to AC/DC Power Outlet Control Module Replacement in Power Outlets.
- Remove the compact disc player, if equipped. Refer to CD Player Replacement in Entertainment.
- Remove the 4 front retaining bolts from the rear seat, and reposition the rear seat.
- Remove the 3 plastic retainers (1) which secure the front of the floor panel carpet (6).
- Remove the floor carpet retainers (2) from each door opening.
- Remove the front seat belt (1) lower anchor bolt from each side of the vehicle.
- Remove the 4 plastic retainers (3) which secure the rear of the floor panel carpet (6).
- Remove the footrest. Refer to Foot Rest Replacement .
- Remove the floor mats from the vehicle, if equipped.
- Remove the floor panel carpet (6) from the vehicle.
