Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Install the gear shift guide bracket and the 2 bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).

  2. Install the gear shift guide case gasket.
  3. Install the gear shift guide case and the 4 bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the gear shift guide case bolts to 20 N.m (14 lb ft).

  4. Connect the shift cables.
  5. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Element Replacement in Engine Electrical.
