Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Fig 1: Retaining Bolt And Vehicle Speed Sensor

  3. Disconnect the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) electrical connector.
  4. Remove the 1 retaining bolt (1) and the VSS (2) from the transaxle.
  5. Inspect the VSS O-ring for cuts or damage. Replace as necessary.
