Installation Procedure

Apply J 36850 to the VSS O-ring.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) into the transaxle case. Secure the VSS (2) with the retaining bolt (1).
Tighten: Tighten the VSS speed sensor (VSS) bolt to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

Connect the VSS electrical connector.
Connect the negative (-) battery cable.
