Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the manual transmission shift knob, if equipped.
  2. Remove the center A/C control knob (3).
  3. Remove the screw (1).
  4. Using a taped flat bladed tool, gently pry and release the retaining clips which secure the front floor console trim plate (2) to the front floor console assembly.
  5. Disconnect the following components:
    • The 2 cigar lighter electrical connectors
    • The accessory power receptacle electrical connectors
  6. Remove the cigar lighter assembly, if necessary. Refer to Cigar Lighter Housing Replacement - Floor Console in Power Outlets.
  7. Remove the accessory power receptacle, if necessary. Refer to Accessory Power Receptacle Replacement - 115 Volt AC - Instrument Panel (I/P) in Power Outlets.
