Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM .
  2. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to FUEL INJECTOR SIGHT SHIELD REPLACEMENT (L36) or FUEL INJECTOR SIGHT SHIELD REPLACEMENT (L67) .
  3. Disconnect the heater inlet hose from the pipe adapter.
  4. Use J 38185  in order to position aside the heater hose clamp.

  5. Remove the heater pipe adapter mounting bolt.
  6. Remove the heater pipe adapter.
