Removal Procedure

Drain the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM .
Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to FUEL INJECTOR SIGHT SHIELD REPLACEMENT (L36) or FUEL INJECTOR SIGHT SHIELD REPLACEMENT (L67) .
Use J 38185 in order to position aside the heater hose inlet clamp at the pipe adapter.
Disconnect the heater inlet hose from the pipe adapter.

Remove the heater hose support bracket nut (1).

Use J 38185 in order to position aside the heater core inlet hose clamp.
Disconnect the heater inlet hose from the heater core.
Separate the support bracket and remove the heater inlet hose.
