Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Install the A/C pressure sensor to the condenser tube.
Important: Coat the new O-ring with mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
- Install the new O-ring onto the condenser tube. Refer to O-Ring Replacement .
- Install the condenser tube into place.NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
- Connect the evaporator inlet tube to the condenser tube.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).
- Install the lower radiator air baffle. Refer to RADIATOR AIR BAFFLE AND DEFLECTOR REPLACEMENT - LOWER .
- Connect the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor electrical connector.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING & JACKING THE VEHICLE .
- Connect the condenser tube to the condenser.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).
- Lower the vehicle.
- Install the accumulator tube clip.
- Install the vacuum brake booster. Refer to POWER BRAKE BOOSTER .
- Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to the following procedures:
- Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
- Leak test the fittings of the component using J 39400-A .
