Removal Procedure

  1. Open the lift gate window (3).
  2. Support the lift gate window (3).
  3. Remove the high mount stoplamp cover. Refer to HIGH MOUNTED STOP LAMP REPLACEMENT in Lighting Systems.
  4. Remove rear wiper arm. Refer to WIPER ARM REPLACEMENT - REAR .
  5. Remove wiper motor assembly. Refer to WIPER MOTOR REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE .
  6. Remove the 4 bolts (2) from the rear window (3).
  7. Remove the 4 nuts (1) from the rear window hinge (5).
  8. Disconnect the rear washer hose. Refer to HOSE REPLACEMENT - REAR WINDOW - WASHER PUMP TO END GATE .
  9. Remove the rear window upper outer panel (4).
  10. Remove the lift gate window struts. Refer to STRUT REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE WINDOW  .
  11. Remove the rear window strut bolt (1) and packing (6) from the rear window retainer (5).
  12. Remove the rear window retainer (5) and the packing (4) from the rear window (2).
  13. Remove the 4 nuts (3) and spacers (1) from the rear window (2).
  14. With an assistant, remove the lift gate window (2) from the lift gate window hinges (8).
