Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Vibe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Connect the rod to the lift gate window latch.
  2. Install the lift gate window latch (1) to the lift gate (5).
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  3. Install the bolts (2) to the lift gate window latch (1).

    Tighten 

  4. Tighten the lift gate window latch bolts (2) to 7.0 N.m (62 lb in).
  5. Install the rear lift gate window connector (4) to the lift gate (5).
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .

  6. Install the bolts (3) to the lift gate window connector (4).

    Tighten 

  7. Tighten the lift gate window connector bolts (3) to 7.0 N.m (62 lb in).
  8. Close the lift gate window.
  9. Open the lift gate.
  10. Install the lift gate window latch electrical connector retainer (3) to the lift gate (4).
  11. Connect the lift gate window latch electrical connector (2) to the lift gate harness (1).
  12. Install the lift gate trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE  .
  13. Close the lift gate.
