Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Vibe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Align the hinge with the marks made on the vehicle body.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the hinge retaining nuts.

    Tighten 

  3. Tighten the liftgate hinge stud nuts to 19.5 N.m (14 lb ft).
  4. Install the headliner. Refer to HEADLINER REPLACEMENT in Interior Trim.
  5. Install the liftgate. Refer to LIFT GATE REPLACEMENT  .
