Functional Operation

The electrical operation of the glass hatch release is controlled by the multifunction alarm module. The multifunction alarm module will provide 12 volts to the glass hatch actuator when it receives:

The glass hatch actuator is permanently grounded at G300.

If the glass hatch is ajar, the glass hatch courtesy switch closes and provides a ground to the multifunction alarm module which will light the dome lights. It will also disable the LOCK function on the keyless entry fob.



The Lift Gate operates in the same manner as the power door locks. The lock and unlock circuits for the lift gate are connected to the left rear door lock actuator. If the lift gate power lock/unlock function is inoperable and the left rear door is operational, the problem will be between the left rear door lock actuator and the lift gate. If the left rear door lock is also inoperable, refer to SYMPTOMS - DOORS . The lift gate actuator is permanently grounded at G300.
