Removal Procedure

- Disable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM in SIR.
- Remove the body hinge pillar trim panels. Refer to TRIM REPLACEMENT - HINGE PILLAR .
- Remove all 4 side door sill trim plates. Refer to DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the center pillar lower trim panels. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - LOWER CENTER PILLAR .
- Remove the front floor console. Refer to CONSOLE REPLACEMENT - FRONT FLOOR in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
- Remove the rear floor console. Refer to CONSOLE REPLACEMENT - REAR FLOOR in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
- Remove the front seats. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUCKET in Seats.
- Remove the accessory AC/DC power control module. Refer to ACCESSORY AC/DC POWER CONTROL MODULE in Wiring Systems.
- Remove the compact disc player, if equipped. Refer to CD PLAYER REPLACEMENT in Entertainment.
- Remove the rear seat assembly. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - REAR in Seats.
- Remove the 3 plastic retainers (1) which secure the front of the floor panel carpet (6).
- Remove the floor carpet retainers (2) from each door opening.
- Remove the front seat belt (1) lower anchor bolt from each side of the vehicle.
- Remove the 4 plastic retainers (3) which secure the rear of the floor panel carpet (6).
- Remove the footrest. Refer to FOOT REST REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the body side lower rear garnish moldings. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE LOWER REAR .
- Remove the floor mats from the vehicle, if equipped.
- Remove the floor panel carpet (6) from the vehicle.
