Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Vibe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the head rest, if necessary. Refer to HEAD RESTRAINT REPLACEMENT - REAR SEAT  .
  2. Fold the rear seat back cushion to the down position.
  3. Remove the 2 plastic hinge covers (1) from the back seat back cushion cover.
  4. Remove the rear seat back trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR SEAT BACK (LEFT)  or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR SEAT BACK (RIGHT)  .
  5. Remove the center rear seat belt retractor, if necessary. Refer to SEAT BELT RETRACTOR REPLACEMENT - CENTER REAR in Seat Belts.
  6. Remove the hinge bolts (2) from the rear seat back cushion (3).
  7. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
    • The 2 seat back pivot support bolts
    • The rear seat back cushion (3)
