Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Vibe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  1. Install the rear seat back cushion (3) to the vehicle. Secure the rear seat back cushion with the 2 bolts (2).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the seat back cushion bolts to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

  2. Install the outer pivot support bolts to the rear seat back cushion (3).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the outer pivot support bolts to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

  3. Install the center rear seat belt retractor, if removed. Refer to SEAT BELT RETRACTOR REPLACEMENT - CENTER REAR in Seat Belts.
  4. Install the rear seat back trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR SEAT BACK (LEFT)  or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR SEAT BACK (RIGHT)  .
  5. Install the 2 plastic hinge covers (1) to the back of the seat back cushion cover.
  6. Return the seat back to the upright position.
  7. Install head rest, if removed. Refer to HEAD RESTRAINT REPLACEMENT - REAR SEAT  .
