Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Vibe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the luggage carrier side rail (6) to the roof, push down until the 3 plastic retainers (9) engage.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the 4 bolts (2).

    Tighten 

  3. Tighten the luggage carrier side rail mounting bolts to 16 N.m (11 lb ft).
  4. Install the luggage carrier side rail caps (1) to the luggage carrier side rail (6), make sure the plastic retainers (7) are fully engaged.
  5. Install the luggage carrier crossrails (1), if removed. Refer to LUGGAGE CARRIER CROSS RAIL REPLACEMENT  .
  6. Repeat the procedure to install the second luggage carrier side rail, if removed.
