Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - SIDE REAR DOOR  .
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to WATER DEFLECTOR REPLACEMENT - REAR DOOR  .
  3. Remove the outer sealing strip. Refer to SEALING STRIP REPLACEMENT - REAR DOOR WINDOW BELT OUTER  .
  4. Remove the door weather-strip. Refer to WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT - REAR DOOR  .
  5. Remove the door window weather-strip. Refer to WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT - REAR DOOR WINDOW  .
  6. Remove the window guide channel. Refer to WINDOW GUIDE REPLACEMENT - DOOR  .
  7. Remove the door lock. Refer to LOCK REPLACEMENT - REAR DOOR  .
  8. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to DOOR HANDLE REPLACEMENT - REAR OUTSIDE  .
  9. Remove the door window. Refer to WINDOW REPLACEMENT - REAR DOOR  .
  10. Remove the door window regulator and motor. Refer to WINDOW REGULATOR REPLACEMENT - REAR DOOR  .
  11. Remove the rear door speaker.
  12. Remove the rear door body side molding.
  13. Remove the rear lower door side molding.
  14. Remove the door check link. Refer to DOOR CHECK LINK REPLACEMENT - REAR  .
  15. Remove the following components from the door:
  16. Release the door wiring harness grommet and un-route the wiring harness (2) from the door (4), if equipped.
  17. Remove all the retainers from the rear door (4).
  18. Mark the door hinge location.

  19. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
    • The 4 door to hinge bolts (1, 3)
    • The rear door (4)
