Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - SIDE FRONT DOOR  .
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to WATER DEFLECTOR REPLACEMENT - FRONT DOOR  .
  3. Remove the rear view mirror. Refer to MIRROR REPLACEMENT - POWER  .
  4. Remove the outer sealing strip. Refer to SEALING STRIP REPLACEMENT - FRONT DOOR WINDOW BELT OUTER  .
  5. Remove the door weather-strip. Refer to WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT - FRONT DOOR  .
  6. Remove the door window weather-strip. Refer to WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT - FRONT DOOR WINDOW  .
  7. Remove the window guide. Refer to WINDOW GUIDE REPLACEMENT - DOOR  .
  8. Remove the door lock. Refer to LOCK REPLACEMENT - FRONT DOOR  .
  9. Remove the door lock cylinder. Refer to LOCK CYLINDER REPLACEMENT - DOOR  .
  10. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to DOOR HANDLE REPLACEMENT - FRONT OUTSIDE  .
  11. Remove the door window. Refer to WINDOW REPLACEMENT - FRONT DOOR  .
  12. Remove the door window regulator and motor. Refer to WINDOW REGULATOR REPLACEMENT - FRONT DOOR  .
  13. Remove the front upper door speaker.
  14. Remove the front lower door speaker.
  15. Remove the front door body side molding.
  16. Remove the front lower door side molding.
  17. Remove the left fender, if necessary.
  18. Remove the right fender, if necessary.
  19. Remove the door check link. Refer to DOOR CHECK LINK REPLACEMENT - FRONT  .
  20. Release the door wiring harness grommet and un-route the wiring harness (3) from the door (6) and door jamb, if equipped.
  21. Remove the front door wiring harness from the vehicle, if equipped.

  22. Remove all the retainers from the front door (6).
  23. Mark the door hinge (2, 4) location.
  24. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
    • The 4 door to hinge bolts (1, 5)
    • The front door (6)
