Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Vibe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: When removing body panels, apply tape to corners of panel and adjacent surfaces to help prevent paint damage.
  1. Raise and support the hood.
  2. Remove the left fender flare. Refer to FLARE REPLACEMENT - FRONT FENDER in Exterior Trim.
  3. Remove the left wheelhouse panel (1). Refer to WHEELHOUSE PANEL REPLACEMENT  .
  4. Remove the front fascia. Refer to FASCIA REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUMPER in Bumpers.
  5. Remove the left rocker molding. Refer to MOLDING REPLACEMENT - ROCKER PANEL in Exterior Trim.
  6. Remove the left headlamp assembly. Refer to HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY OR HEADLAMP BULB REPLACEMENT in Lighting Systems.
  7. Remove left rear inner fender splash guard.

  8. Remove the front fender (1) to rocker panel bolt.

  9. Remove the 2 front fender to door jamb (3) bolts.

  10. Remove the top 2 front fender bolts (1).

  11. Remove the 1 bolt (2) from the front of the left front fender.
  12. Remove the left front fender (1) from the vehicle.
