Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Vibe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the front fender liners. Refer to WHEELHOUSE PANEL REPLACEMENT in Body Front End.
  2. Remove the fog lamps. Refer to FOG LAMP REPLACEMENT - FRONT in Lighting Systems.
  3. Remove the bolts (1) from the front bumper fascia (2) at the fender.
  4. Remove the push-in retainers (3) from the upper bumper fascia using J 38778  .
  5. Remove the fascia bolts (4) from the fascia.
  6. Remove the fascia from the vehicle.
  7. Remove the grilles from the fascia. Refer to FASCIA GRILLE REPLACEMENT (UPPER)  or FASCIA GRILLE REPLACEMENT (LOWER)  .

  8. Remove the 10 screws from the upper and lower fascias.
