Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Vibe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  1. Install the left I/P center support brace (9) and the right I/P center support brace (6) to the vehicle. Secure the braces with the following retainers:
    • The left brace nut (10)
    • The right brace nut (5)
    • The right brace bolt (7)
    • The left brace bolt (8)

    Tighten 

    Tighten the I/P center support brace nuts and bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  2. Install the connector housing bracket to the right I/P center support brace.
  3. Install the lower instrument panel assembly. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - LOWER  .
  4. Install the upper instrument panel assembly. Refer to TRIM PAD REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) UPPER  .
