Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear wiper arm. Refer to WIPER ARM REPLACEMENT - REAR  .
  2. Remove the nut (1) and the wiper packing (2).
  3. Open the liftgate glass (8).
  4. Remove the wiper motor cover (7) using a flat bladed tool.
  5. Disconnect the 2 rear defogger electrical connectors (3).
  6. Remove the 2 nuts (6) from the wiper motor assembly (5).
  7. Remove the rear wiper motor (5) from the liftgate glass (8).

  8. Disconnect the junction switch electrical connector (6).
  9. Remove the junction switch nut (4) and the junction switch (5).
  10. Remove the 3 screws (3) that hold the rear wiper shaft cover (1) to the wiper motor assembly (2).
  11. Remove the rear wiper shaft cover (1) from the wiper motor assembly (2).
