Removal Procedure

  1. Install the engine support fixture. Refer to ENGINE SUPPORT FIXTURE in Engine Mechanical - 1.8L.
  2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .
  3. Remove the right hand and left hand splash shields.
  4. Remove the 2 bolts from the front transaxle mount.
  5. Remove the front transaxle mount through bolt
  6. Remove the insulator to the mount bracket.
  7. Remove the 2 front transaxle bracket bolts and bracket from the transaxle.
