Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the oxygen sensors. Refer to the following procedures:
  2. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to JACKING AND LIFTING - AWD .
  3. Remove the floor panel brace.

  4. Remove the following components from the exhaust manifold:
    • The 2 bolts
    • The 2 springs
  5. Remove the following components from the front pipe to the Three Way Catalytic Converter (TWC) exhaust pipe:
    • The 2 bolts
    • The 2 springs
  6. Remove the front pipe from the front pipe hanger (2).
  7. Remove the front pipe from the vehicle.
  8. Clean the gasket and seal the mating surfaces.
