Removal Procedure

CAUTION:
Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT CAUTION
in Cautions and Notices.
- Record all preset and theft codes from the radio.
- Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
- Verify that all the electrical components are off such as interior lights, all doors are closed, the underhood lamp, etc.
- Remove the retaining bolt from the battery negative cable (3).
- Remove the battery negative cable from the battery (5).
- Position the battery negative cable away from any body ground.
