Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Vibe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Use new engine oil in order to coat the new guide tube seal.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the new guide tube seal (1) to the guide tube. Secure the guide tube to the cylinder block using one bolt (3).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolt to 14 N.m (10 lb ft).

  3. Clip the crankshaft position sensor electrical connector to the guide tube.
  4. Install the oil level indicator to the guide tube.
