Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Vibe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Important:  The wheel speed sensor is serviceable only as an assembly. Do NOT attempt to service the sensor harness pigtail.

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector (6) from the wheel speed sensor.

  2. Remove the rear axle hub and bearing assembly. Refer to WHEEL BEARING/HUB REPLACEMENT - REAR (FWD) or WHEEL BEARING/HUB REPLACEMENT - REAR (AWD) in Rear Suspension.
  3. Remove the wheel speed sensor from the rear axle hub.
