Installation Procedure

  1. Install the sliding yoke (1) into the transmission with the two piece propeller shaft assembly.
  2. Ensure that the sliding yoke splines are lubricated.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  3. Install the mid shaft bearing support bolts (1,2).
    1. Tighten 
    2. Tighten the bolts to 37 N.m (27 lb ft).

  4. Install the pinion flange yoke to the differential pinion flange with the reference marks. Secure the pinion flange yoke with 4 bolts and 4 nuts and washers.
    1. Tighten 
    2. Tighten the propeller shaft bolts and nuts to 74 N.m (54 lb ft).
  5. Lower the vehicle.
